Who We Are: Our Staff
Tomorrow's Promise is a highly specialized advocacy whose team members have direct links to the special needs community through family relationships or volunteer service. Our first-hand experiences with individuals with disabilities means that we truly understand the feelings and concerns that our clients have with respect to the needs of their sons, daughters or other relatives with special needs.
Scott K. Warner
Scott K. Warner, President and founder of Life Design Financial, an independent investment and insurance firm located in Brea, California, has been providing financial solutions to families in Southern California since 1992. More recently, after recognizing a growing demand for special needs solutions, Scott established Tomorrow's Promise in 2005. Scott is highly qualified to handle the extraordinary legal and financial issues that families with special needs face. His mission as a special needs advisor is to provide expert advice, guidance and support to families with children or other loved ones with disabilities.
Scott's experience with special needs issues comes first-hand. Both his sister and daughter suffer from mental illness, and his closest friend has been battling Lou Gehrig's disease for six years. Because of these relationships, he is a compassionate as well as an expert financial planner in the care-giving arena.
Scott graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a B.S. degree in Finance and Real Estate Law. Today he is an active member of The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) and the Child and Adolescent Bipolar Foundation.
Marilyn Warner
Prior to joining Tomorrow's Promise, Marilyn spent 35 years in elementary education. After a long career in the classroom, she became the first female school principal in Orange County. In her role as an educator, she worked closely with the district's special education program, which was housed on her campus. She loved the challenge of meeting student and family needs as well as having a positive impact on the community.
In addition to working with families through Tomorrow's Promise, Marilyn has been an active member of NAMI for seven years. She currently facilitates a NAMI support group, provides outreach to area schools, and instructs other NAMI members.
Michelle Overtoom, Public Relations
Michelle recently joined the Tomorrow's Promise team to help us reach out to local organizations serving individuals with special needs. She brings a wealth of experience to our organization gained from years working with the special needs community. Michelle has worked as an after-school Program Assistant for Easter Seals and specifically involves parents in activities with their special needs children. Additionally, she became a Special Olympics volunteer at the March 2007 Winter Games and looks forward to the Summer and Fall events.
Tomorrow's Promise.
We understand special needs first-hand.
